Frequent Fan Cards on sale to Student Advantage members for$50.00 and allows students to attend for free
Free membership in Student Advantage Program offers tickets and benefits for full-time students in high school through post-graduate
It is a proven fact that students who participate in the arts (either actively as a performer or passively as an audience member) accomplish more in school. In recognition of this, the Cleveland Orchestra makes available Frequent Fan Cards.
With the purchase of a Frequent Fan Card, full-time students can attend as many Cleveland Orchestra Classical concerts as they choose, for free. Student Frequent Fan Cards are available for purchase online at clevelandorchestra.com or by calling Cleveland Orchestra Ticket Services at 216-231-1111.
In order to purchase a Frequent Fan Card, you must enroll for membership in the The Cleveland Orchestra’s Student Advantage Program. Joining is free and can be done at the time you purchase the Frequent Fan Card. To join you can go online at clevelandorchestra.com or in person at the Severance Hall Ticket Office.
The advantages of the Student Advantage Program are that you can purchase student tickets on selected weeks for as low as $10.00 and $15.00 as well as receive invitations and other benefits. With the purchase of the Frequent Fan Card you may attend as many concerts as you wish for free.
When the Orchestra season begins, student tickets may be obtained in person at the Ticket Office beginning on Monday prior to each concert weekend. The free program is open to full-time students in grades 9 through 12 and all full-time college undergraduate, graduate/post-graduate students (a valid student ID is required, and can be submitted in person or as part of the online enrollment).
Among the advantages and benefits are invitations to masterclasses, behind the scenes open rehearsals, periodic e-mails specifying the availability of student tickets, concert details and invitations to free events. Those Student Advantage Members who do not purchase the Frequent Fan Card may still purchase select Cleveland Orchestra concert tickets for just $10.00 each. These tickets are made available beginning the Monday prior to the concert and available up to an hour prior to the performance (tickets purchased within one hour prior to concert start time are $15). Members receive a card in the mail that is to be presented at the Severance Hall Ticket Office along with a valid student ID at the time of each ticket purchase. Tickets for Frequent Fan Card holders are also available beginning the Monday prior to the concert.
Last season, over 6,000 Northeast Ohio students enrolled as members of the Cleveland Orchestra Student Advantage Program with over 16,000 tickets for Severance Hall Concerts purchased. This accounted for 20% of the Severance Hall audience who attended the Orchestra’s Classical concerts.
The Cleveland Orchestra’s Center for Future Audiences sponsors the The Student Advantage Program and Frequent Fan Card with student ticket programs supported by the Center’s Alexander and Sarah Cutler Fund for Student Audiences and was first initiated in 2010 with the goal to develop new generations of audiences for Cleveland Orchestra concerts in Northeast Ohio.
