With the NFL draft coming in May, teams are still using smoke screens to try and hide what they are going to do. The Cleveland Browns are one of those teams that are using the smoke screen to their advantage with their number four pick. Fans and other teams have no idea what the Browns are doing, especially with all of the different news sources giving contradictory reports. So what could the Browns do with the number 4 pick?

Most analysts and fans believe that the Browns will take a quarterback. With 2 of the 3 teams ahead of the Browns also needing a quarterback, it guarantees that the Browns would be able to get a quarterback like Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles, or Teddy Bridgewater. The Browns coaches and owner have put up smoke screens on this by saying that they may not take a quarterback with the pick, and Mike Pettine has not attended any of the quarterbacks’ pro days. The Browns are doing a good job of disguising themselves if they select a quarterback with this pick.

The next option that has gained a lot of attention is maybe taking Sammy Watkins with the fourth pick. Watkins would fill an immediate role in a weak receiving corps. With the Browns signing restricted free agent, Andre Hawkins away from Cincinnati, the Browns are showing they want to be aggressive with this position. Watkins seems to want to tease Browns’ fans as well by posting a picture he created of himself in a Brown’s uniform. All this news could be an ultimate smoke screen to disguise what the Browns will really do.

Another story the Browns have leaked is their interest in offensive tackle, Greg Robinson. Robinson looks as if he could be the next franchise tackle for a team. He could be perfect on a team like the Browns. Robinson could start at right tackle, and move over to left after Joe Thomas leaves. The Browns need to bulk up their offensive line, but some believe that Robinson could be too safe of a pick.

Whatever the Browns end up doing with their number four pick, they have hid it pretty well. Maybe they don’t even know what they are going to do with it. We will all find out on May 8th, and then the next excitement will begin, the 26th pick.
