After a rainy day yesterday in the Clarksville area, skies will remain partly cloudy with warm temperatures as highs will be near ninety today. The mixture of heat and humidity will cause a few showers and thunderstorms to develop in the region, but the chance for precipitation is low. The risk for precipitation will remain low for the day Thursday with high temperatures in the lower nineties. Another frontal system will move through the region for the weekend and will cause scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop over the Clarksville area. The best chance for precipitation will be during the day Saturday as the frontal system moves through the region, which may put a damper on those attending Riverfest this weekend. Temperatures will cool into the weekend as high temperatures will be in the middle eighties Saturday and Sunday. Any thunderstorms that do develop may be strong to severe with heavy rains and gusty winds. Localized flash flooding is also possible where these storms develop.
