A freeze warning is in effect for the Clarksville area and all of central Tennessee until 9 a.m. Friday morning.
After a clear night, temperatures in the Clarksville area have dropped into the upper twenties and many areas are experiencing the first major frost of the season. High temperatures today will remain chilly as highs will be in the lower fifties. Another clear night is expected tonight as lows will once again drop below freezing allowing for areas of frost once again to develop. The cold air will not last long though as temperatures will climb back to near sixty for the weekend and then into the upper sixties for the beginning of the week. The next major system to have an effect on temperatures is not expected to move through the region until the middle of next week.
