A strong series of cold fronts will move through the Clarksville area this week bringing cooler air back into the region. Showers and thunderstorms will begin to move into the region this afternoon as the first front moves through the area. Some of the showers and thunderstorms that move in could produce gusty winds and heavy rain, but a large scale severe weather event is not expected. Temperatures will drop into the upper sixties on Thursday before the next approaching front. This front will pass through on Friday night bringing more showers to the region. This front will drop the temperatures even further for the upcoming weekend as highs will be in the lower sixties on Saturday.
