After a few dreary days in the Clarksville area, skies will begin to clear up today as a brief area of higher pressure moves into the region. This will allow temperatures to remain in the upper eighties, but the humidity levels should be lower today than where they have been. This reprise will be short lived as the risk for showers and thunderstorms returns to the region on Thursday. The wind pattern will return to coming from the south and west and humidity will increase on Thursday with a risk for showers and thunderstorms. There will be a better chance of precipitation on Friday as a wave of energy moves through the region. This wave of energy will slowly move through the region this weekend causing the risk for showers and thunderstorms once again this weekend in the Clarksville area. Temperatures through this period are expected to remain near average with highs approaching ninety each day.
