Partly cloudy skies are expected for the Clarksville area today before the next system moves into the region tonight. This system will bring a risk showers and thunderstorms overnight tonight. The thunderstorms that may develop have the potential to produce heavy rain and gusty wind. Skies will clear for the first time in a few weeks Friday night and for the day Saturday as an area of higher pressure moves over the Clarksville area. This will be short lived as a southwest breeze will bring warm temperatures and humid conditions back to the region. This will allow for partly cloudy skies to end the weekend and begin the workweek with a risk for an afternoon shower or thunderstorm.
