Cloudy skies are expected for the Clarksville area today as a system slowly moves into the region. This system is expected to bring heavy rain to the southern portions of Tennessee, but could still bring a few showers and thunderstorms to the region during the day today. Temperatures for today will remain cool with highs in the upper seventies. The best chance for precipitation will be tonight as the system makes the closest approach to the Clarksville area before moving to the east. Any thunderstorms that do develop has the chance to produce heavy rains.
