A system will move through the region today bringing isolated snow, sleet, and rain showers this morning, changing to a plain rain in the afternoon. The precipitation may cause some slippery conditions on untreated roadways, but most roads should remain wet. The wintry precipitation will change to a plain rain by noon as the system moves out and temperatures warm into the forties. A brief respite from the rain is expected on Friday before a cold front moves through the region Friday night. This system will bring periods of rain, heavy at times, but will not cause temperatures to cool as highs will continue to be in the fifties through the weekend.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with isolated rain, sleet, and snow showers early, becoming a plain rain in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation 60%. High: 41

Thursday night: Scattered showers. Chance of precipitation 30%. Low: 37

Friday: Partly to mostly cloudy. A stray shower possible. High: 54

Friday night: Scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Breezy. Chance of precipitation 80%. Low: 43

Saturday: A few showers early, otherwise clearing skies. High: Middle 50s Low: Lower 30s

Sunday: Mainly sunny. High: Lower 50s Low: Upper 30s
