A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect for the Clarksville area from midnight tonight through the entire day Sunday.

A sunny start to the weekend is expected for the Clarksville area, but conditions are going to drastically change heading into Sunday. A strong frontal system is expected to move through the region Sunday bringing rain showers in the morning, quickly changing to snow by the afternoon. The snow showers are expected to last for most of the afternoon and evening Sunday, before giving way to bitterly cold temperatures. Total snow accumulations of one to three inches are expected for the Clarksville area making driving conditions difficult Sunday evening. The bitter cold air will make its way into the region overnight Sunday dropping temperatures to near zero. This combined with winds gusting to twenty-five miles per hour will cause wind chill values to be five to fifteen degrees below zero. The weather does not get better for Monday to start the workweek as highs will only reach a mild five degrees above zero. Temperatures are expected to rebound by the end of the upcoming workweek as highs will be in the forties by Friday.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. High: 44

Saturday night: Increasing clouds with a risk for a shower by daybreak. Chance of precipitation 30%. Low: 34

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers changing over to snow showers. Chance of precipitation 60%. Snow accumulations of one to three inches possible. High: 38, falling after noon. Wind chills near zero by the afternoon.

Sunday night: Isolated snow showers during the evening, otherwise partly cloudy skies. Chance of precipitation 40%. Breezy and very cold. Low: 0 Wind chills five to ten degrees below zero.

Monday: A mix of sun and clouds. Breezy during the day and very cold. High: Middle 0s Low: Near 0

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. High: Middle teens Low: Lower teens
