Sunny skies are expected for the Clarksville area today, but cold temperatures are expected as highs are expected to be in the upper twenties. Temperatures will warm into the forties for the weekend before another strong frontal system moves through the region on Sunday. This system will bring scattered showers Sunday morning, but the precipitation will change over to a period of snow before ending Sunday night. A dusting to an inch of snow is possible with this system, but the bottom is going to fall out with the temperatures as overnight lows Sunday will be near zero. The cold weather will last into the beginning of the workweek with temperatures not making it out of the single digits.
