A few showers are possible today as a slow moving boundary moves to the east of the Clarksville area today. This system will have no affect on temperatures as highs for today will be near sixty. The big system to affect the area will be Thursday afternoon into the evening. This system is expected to start bringing showers to the region Thursday morning, with heavy rain and imbedded thunderstorms overnight. Some of the thunderstorms may be strong to severe with damaging winds and the isolated risk for a tornado. Temperatures will drop behind this system for the end of the week and into the weekend as highs will be in the fifties under partly cloudy skies.
