A complex system will move into the Clarksville region today bringing periods of rain to the region today. Some of the rain is expected to be heavy at times as total rainfall of one to two inches is expected by midnight tonight. Tomorrow is expected to be the interesting weather day as cold air will rush into the region. Precipitation is expected to start as rain with it changing to freezing rain and sleet during the day and then end as sleet and snow overnight. Icing is expected to occur as ice totals of a quarter of an inch is expected. This is expected to cause some interruptions on the roadways and may bring a few trees and power lines down as the wind is expected to also be gusty. Looking to the weekend, temperatures are expected to remain near freezing as another system moves through the region. This system will bring another period of freezing rain to the region Sunday morning. Another tenth of an inch of ice is expected and could cause more problems for the Clarksville area to start the upcoming workweek.

Friday: Scattered showers, changing to sleet and freezing rain by noon, changing to freezing rain, sleet and snow by the evening. Chance of precipitation 90%. Ice accumulations of a quarter of an inch possible. High temperatures falling through the day. High: 35

Friday night: Snow, sleet, and freezing rain showers early, otherwise partly cloudy skies. Total storm ice accumulations near three tenths of an inch. Chance of precipitation 40%. Low: 20

Saturday: Partly cloudy during the day, periods of freezing rain overnight. Chance of precipitation 40%. High: Lower 30s Low: Upper 20s

Sunday: Periods of rain and freezing rain. Best chance for freezing rain will be in the morning. About a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation possible. Chance of precipitation 70%. High: Upper 30s Low: Lower 30s
