High pressure remains over the Clarksville area today as skies are expected to be mostly sunny with temperatures warming into the lower forties today. The warming trend will continue into the weekend as highs will climb into the fifties tomorrow and Saturday. A system will develop in the Gulf of Mexico Friday night and will move north through the day Saturday. This system will bring mostly cloudy skies to the region by Saturday afternoon and will bring a risk for precipitation to the Clarksville area Saturday night. The precipitation is expected to fall as rain, with a better chance of rain the further east you go. A strong cold front will push through the area Sunday night dropping temperatures for the upcoming week into the thirties.
