A strong system is moving through the Clarksville area today bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms to the region. The best chance for precipitation is expected tonight as the front moves through. Some of the thunderstorms are expected to be strong to severe with gusty winds, heavy rain, and a slight risk for tornadoes. The precipitation is expected to move out of the region Sunday morning with temperatures falling throughout the day. Looking to the Christmas holiday, temperatures are expected to be cool as highs will be in the thirties Monday and Tuesday, warming to the lower forties for Christmas.
