A strong system is expected to move into the Clarksville area today bringing showers and thunderstorms to the region this weekend. A wave will move through the region today bringing a few showers and possible a thunderstorm, but the risk for precipitation is low. Temperatures though are expected to be very warm as highs will be in the middle sixties. The warm weather will last into the day Saturday as highs may reach seventy before the main front moves through the area. This front is expected to bring strong to severe thunderstorms to the region overnight Saturday into Sunday. The main risk for these thunderstorms is expected to be heavy rain and gusty winds. Temperatures are expected to drop dramatically during the day Sunday as a high in the upper fifties in the morning is expected to be in the upper twenties by early Monday morning. Looking ahead to the Christmas weather forecast, temperatures are expected to be cool as highs will be in the upper thirties to lower forties.

Sunday: A shower or thunderstorm early, otherwise partly cloudy skies. Chance of precipitation 40%. Temperatures falling throughout the day High: Upper 50s Low: Upper 20s

Monday: Mostly sunny. High: Upper 30s Low: Upper teens
