High pressure will move to the east of the Clarksville area today allowing for a southwest breeze to develop over the region. This breeze plus sunny skies will allow temperatures to soar to near sixty for today. A strong storm system will move into the region tomorrow bringing mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers to the region today. The best chance for precipitation though will be overnight Saturday into Sunday when the cold front will move through. Some of the thunderstorms overnight Saturday may become strong to severe with gusty winds and heavy rain currently as the main concerns. Temperatures are expected to drop back into the forties by the beginning of the workweek and remain in the forties for the Christmas holiday.

Saturday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms during the day, becoming more numerous overnight. Some storms may be strong to severe. Chance of precipitation 80%. High: Upper 60s Low: Middle 50s

Sunday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the morning, otherwise clearing skies. Temperatures falling throughout the day. High: Upper 50s Low: Upper 20s
