The risk for unsettled weather is expected for the Clarksville area through the end of the workweek and into the weekend as a series of waves move through the region. The waves are moving along a weak trough that is currently over the Clarksville area. Temperatures for today will be warm, approaching ninety degrees with a risk for a shower or thunderstorm. The risk for precipitation will increase tonight into the day Friday as the first wave moves through the region. Temperatures will remain near ninety as this wave moves through with cooler conditions in rain cooled areas. The best chance of precipitation will be Saturday as a stronger second wave moves through the region. This will help decrease temperatures slightly for Sunday as the trough slightly deepens over the region. The risk for precipitation will continue through the end of the weekend and into the beginning of the workweek as the series of waves makes their way through the southern parts of Tennessee with high temperatures remaining in the upper eighties.
