Partly cloudy conditions are expected to continue for the Clarksville area this weekend as high temperatures continue to slowly climb. High temperatures for today will be in the upper eighties with the risk for a shower or thunderstorm in the evening. The skies will remain partly cloudy through the day Sunday with high temperatures remaining in the middle to upper eighties. The dry weather is expected to continue into the upcoming workweek as high pressure remains in control over the east coast. This will also allow for temperatures to warm into the upper nineties on Monday. A frontal system will attempt to make its way into the Clarksville area Tuesday and Wednesday and may trigger an isolated shower or thunderstorm, but temperatures will remain in the lower nineties. For the students going back to school, the showers and thunderstorms should develop in the evening, after the end of the half a day. The risk for unsettled weather is expected to continue through the rest of the workweek as a series of systems travel through the Clarksville area with temperatures remaining warm, in the lower to middle nineties.
