High pressure remains over the Clarksville area today allowing for mostly sunny skies to once again shine over the region. Temperatures are expected to remain slightly below average and comfortable with highs in the middle eighties and overnight lows near sixty. The sunny skies will continue for the day Friday as high pressure moves to the east of the Clarksville area. This will cause a southwest breeze to bring warmer temperatures into the region as highs are near ninety for Friday. A wave of energy will move into the region for the weekend bringing the risk for showers and thunderstorms to develop. The risk for precipitation will begin Saturday night, with the best chance during the day Sunday. Highs for this time will continue to be near average, in the upper eighties. Heading into the upcoming workweek, the risk for precipitation is expected to continue as a series of waves once again make their way through the region with temperatures in the middle to upper eighties.
