Sunny skies are expected for the Clarksville area today with very warm temperatures as highs are expected to reach the upper seventies. The warmth will continue for the day tomorrow as a southwest breeze develops ahead of the next system. This system will move into the region Sunday night and Monday bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the thunderstorms may be strong to severe with heavy rain, gusty winds, and the potential for hail as the main concerns currently. This will be updated as Monday gets closer. The reason for the potential for strong storms is that temperatures are expected to drop twenty to twenty-five degrees from Sunday to Tuesday as highs for Tuesday will be in the middle fifties.
