From Nov. 8-10, the 32nd Annual Bennett Auto Supply Citrus Nationals, presented by South Florida Chevy Dealers and J.W. Performance Transmission, return to Palm Beach International Raceway's Drag Strip for an exciting weekend of racing action.
This year, the event is proud to host Super Winch, Chevy Rebellion, Miller Welding Jet Dragster and Embry-Riddle Jet Dragster, plus sportsman racing in Quick 16, Junior Dragster, Street Bikes, Top Eliminator and more.
Though traditionalists will scoff at the fact that the race was moved from it's Thanksgiving weekend date, the move makes sense not only economically, but logistically. By combining the race, at least in part, with the 5-day bracket championships, there is a possibility of an increase in the size and quality of the field. It also helps out the speedway, by helping the track to save both time and money, which definitely is a positive thing during this time of economic crisis.
The event kicks off on Friday, Nov. 8 with Test & Tune from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The real racing action starts on the weekend, with on-track and off-track action from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Ticket prices for adults start at only $20. Beat the crowds at the gate and get your tickets today.
For race fans who aren't able to attend the event this weekend, stay tuned for a review of the event early next week. Of course, drag racing fans can also view live timing and scoring information online.
