As many know, the love of my life, James Sangster, died from GBM (glioblastoma) brain cancer in July of 2012. His battle lasted 10 months, but what we shared during those 10 months will last the rest of my lifetime. Glory to God for those very special intimate moments that we shared during his battle that most take for granted on a daily basis.
For example, just smelling flowers, the air, scents and being able to walk and talk, however slow it may be, is a blessing for many, but something that I often took for granted. More was learned about James in those 10 months than what I had learned in the 14 years we had been together. The attached very short video was taken 1 month after his brain cancer surgery. Let's just process that for a moment because his chances of initial survival during surgery were slim, and then afterwards he could not walk, talk, remember anyone, count, eat or anything. All of this had to be learned all over again, so to see him at the circus, taking pictures and walking around was a testament to God's greatness.
No one really knows what I went through during that time but God, but I am willing to share my joys and challenges to be a blessing to someone else. Remember to embrace each moment you can share with someone else a blessing that has transpired in your life.
