Life of Pi screenwriter David Magee is heading through the wardrobe to write the script for the fourth movie in The Chronicles of Narnia, based on C.S. Lewis's novel The Silver Chair, as reported this week by The Hollywood Reporter.
The Silver Chair sees Eustace (cousin of the Pevensie children, who is first introduced in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader) and classmate Jill transported to Narnia to help Aslan find Prince Rilian, the son of Caspian. 50 years have passed in Narnia since Eustace was last in Narnia.
"I have always loved The Chronicles of Narnia, and I endlessly imagined myself finding my own passage into Narnia someday," Magee said about writing the screenplay. "All these years later, I’m getting to fulfill that wish just a little bit by writing the film adaptation of The Silver Chair and could not be more excited about it."
Besides writing the screenplay for the critically-acclaimed Life of Pi, Magee also wrote the scripts for Finding Neverland and Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day.
