Experience Bethlehem An interactive live action Christmas event, Experience Bethlehem allows visitors to walk through the events surrounding the birth of Jesus. A tour guide explains the Biblical events as visitors walk from scene to scene. Along the way, guests will encounter angels, the Wise Men, shepherds, King Herod, Mary and Joseph and the baby Jesus.

The walk will lead visitors to the re-created village of Bethlehem complete with shops where they can experience the sights, sounds, aromas and tastes from Bethlehem in Jesus' time. Each visitor will be given a free bag of "gold coins" to spend in the shops.

As visitors follow the Star and ultimately arrive at the manger, along the way they will witness scenarios like Roman soldiers arresting beggars in the street, hear the clang of anvils in the metal shop, watch children stomping grapes and making juice and smell flowers from the flower shop. Travelers will be able to sample fruits, nuts, breads and beverages in the food shops along the path to the manger.

Be sure to watch out for the Roman guards looking to collect taxes for Caesar. Don't let them confiscate your coins.

Hours for the Experience Bethlehem event are 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free and parking is free.
