It is presumed that the child was the daughter of a woman who used her car as a weapon to first crash the barricade at the White House, and then flee police, crashing into a police vehicle causing injury, and then speeding to the Capitol building area where she was shot and killed.
The politics of stories like this include the realm of what makes people go crazy? Now, what will happen to that child?
Imagine witnessing a shooting incident. Imagine witnessing a parent or relative being shot to death. Imagine witnessing a parent or relative engage in violence against authorities. That intense experience will leave an impression on that child that she will carry for her all of her life.
The car driven by the assailant appeared to be late model and nice car. That was evidence of some affluence. But, no one knows the details yet, except that a child was at the scene and tossed around inside the auto as the driver sped through the streets fleeing a chase by multiple police vehicles before coming to a deadly ending.
There is more to the story. But never forget the child.
