The Child (2012): Synopsis and quotes

The child is Simon Sachs (Christian Traeumer) and he's very sick. He's dying, in fact. During his illness, Carina Freitag (Sunny Mabrey) begins a type of therapy whereupon the individual is able to recall past lives.

This is when Simon recalls past lives in which he has murdered others and he can prove it. This is when Carina fetches the attorney Robert Stern (Eric Roberts), who spends an inordinate amount of time fake-laughing at the boy.

The smile goes away upon having located the first body, with the axe through the skull, just as described.

The attorney and the boy soon find themselves in mortal danger, thanks to the pedophiles.

Yeah, there are pedophiles in this movie.

Still, it's a good watch.

Carina: There is a logical explanation for this. It's called reincarnation.

Carina: Would you just let me explain?

Robert: 15 years ago. He killed somebody 15 years ago. The kid is only 10.

Robert: How often do you have these memories?

Robert: I'm glad she found that appropriate to tell a 10-year-old.

Robert: Okay. I must be out of my mind.

Simon: I killed a man.

Simon: Obviously, they're talking about chemotherapy.
