The 'Chicago PD' team races to track unstable drug mules in "Thirty Balloons."

NBC has issued a press release for ‘Chicago PD’s fifth episode of the season, “Thirty Balloons,” which airs Wednesday, February 5.

Due to an encounter with a psychotic woman, the Intelligence Unit is led to uncover a drug smuggling operation which put the lives of several girls at risk.

Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) are presented with a new patrol car, but they are faced with the task of maintaining it brand new.

On a stakeout, Olinsky (Elias Koteas) attempts to educate Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) in the essentials of surveillance, and things become tense between them.

Lindsay (Sophia Bush) helps to keep Voight’s (Jason Beghe) newly released son, Justin, out of trouble, while Voight’s act of overprotectiveness toward Lindsay directs her to where he didn’t want her.

Jesse Lee Soffer, Jon Seda and Archie Kao also star.

Amy Morton, Josh Segarra, Joe Reegan and Robin Weigert guest star.

Chicago PD’ airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
