The Chicago Code books its series premieres on Fox TV on Monday, February 7, 2010, the night after Super Bowl XLV, according Fox TV. The Chicago Code stars Jason Clarke (“Brotherhood”) and Jennifer Beals (“The L Word”).
Formerly titled “Ride-Along”, the distinctive new police drama from critically acclaimed creator Shawn Ryan (“The Shield”), will make its anticipated series debut Monday, February 7, 2011 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Shot on location in Chicago, the series follows the Windy City’s most powerful and respected cops as they navigate the city’s underbelly to fight crime and expose corruption within Chicago’s notorious political machine.
The fast-paced series centers on Jarek Wysocki (Jason Clarke), a local legend and a larger-than-life veteran of the Chicago Police Department. Jarek works the streets on a crusade to clean up crime and avenge his brother’s murder.
Wysocki wields considerable power thanks to his relationship with Teresa Colvin (Jennifer Beals), his ex-partner and the city’s first female superintendent.Teresa, in charge of the 10,000 member police department, governs over the complicated landscape of Chicago politics.
The cast of The Chicago Code also includes Delroy Lindo (Kidnapped) as Alderman Ronn Gibbons; Matt Laurie (Friday Night Lights) as Det. Caleb Evers; Devin Kelly (Tease) as Jarek's niece, Vonda Wysocki; Todd Williams as Isaac Joiner; and Billy Lush (The Black Donnellys) as Irish thug Liam Hennessey.
THE CHICAGO CODE is a production of 20th Century Fox Television and MiddKid Productions. The series is written and executive-produced by Shawn Ryan and Tim Minear (“Dollhouse”). Charles McDougall (“Big Love”) also directed and executive-produced the pilot episode.
