Two games into the season and Derrick Rose hasn't hit the 20 point thresh hold but he made a major shot with seconds left on the clock. With 5.7 seconds left in the game he hit a shot from the baseline that would seal the victory. Carmelo tried to take the win back but his shot with 2.6 seconds left would rim out and bring both teams to a 1-1 record at this point in the early year.
Rose would lead all Chicago scorers as he closed out the night with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Luol Deng added 17 points and 6 assists while Carlos Boozer added 14 points and 7 rebounds of his own. Jimmy Butler also hit double figures on the night with 11 points.
Anthony led the Knicks in this game with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 steals. Raymond Felton brought in 13 points and 6 assists and the rookie Tim Hardaway Jr. added 10 points of his own. Coming from another off season with knee surgery, Amar'e Stoudemire made his debut for the Knicks where he played 11 minutes and scored 5 points.
This is the sixth straight victory that the Bulls have had over the Knicks. The Bulls will go on to play the Philadelphia Sixers who are riding the wave of a surprise victory over the Miami Heat while the Knicks are going to welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.
