In the pantheon of majestic views, there are not many that top one from a hot air balloon, and it’s almost as equally majestic for the viewer on the ground. There is just something about looking up in the sky and seeing an oversized, colorful balloon filled with people hovering above the Earth.
When you combine the awe-inspiring sight of a hot air balloon with the beautiful, rolling hills of the Brandywine Valley, you have the Chester County Balloon Festival, happening June 13 and 14 at Plantation Field in Unionville, Pennsylvania.
The Chester County Balloon Festival is an immensely popular event that is in its 8th year. This year, the Festival will feature upwards of 20 plus balloons. It is an event that has the ascension of hot air balloons combined with plenty of on the ground entertainment as well.
Friday’s events will feature a balloon launch at 6:00pm, followed by a Victory Brewing Glow Party and a Balloon Glow Finale. On Saturday, there will be an Island Music Mix on the ground at 3:00pm followed by the Caribbean sounds of Riddem Nation in concert on the Main Stage. A Mass Balloon Launch follows this at 6:00pm, which precedes a Special Shapes Presentation and is capped off by the Spectacular Balloon Glow finale.
Gates open at 5:00pm on Friday, June 13 and at 3:00pm on Saturday the 14th.
