The Chase Park Plaza: a hotel of distinction in St. Louis (Photos)

The multi-faceted elegance of The Chase Park Plaza reaches high into the St. Louis sky. It’s quite remarkable to encounter all that’s inside, because when you look at the stoic and majestic exterior, you may conjure up a perception of what you think it might contain. Yes, it is palatial. Yes, it has a finely-decorated interior. Most importantly, this distinct hotel is essentially an urban resort and is well-rounded in its amenities making it perfectly fitting for any lifestyle—whether as a guest or resident. From top to bottom (even into the basement), it is a polished and a well-oiled machine of hospitality. Sounds good enough to put in a brochure? Maybe not; but it’s the truth.

The Chase Park Plaza’s offerings are quite diverse with a varied restaurant selection, a salon and spa, a cinema, and fitness and wellness center. This is a few in a list of things that await guests at this Central West End community in St. Louis. A guest can actually stay on premises and have a full experience without ever having to leave the building. However, it would be impossible to do that with Forest Park, home to St. Louis’ finest museums, zoo, golf courses and manicured gardens being right across the street.

The Chase Park Plaza is rich in history and embodies an elegance that has transcended time. It is the coveted location for weddings and events in the city of St. Louis. As a result, the hotel has drawn and welcomed virtually every U.S. President, international dignitaries, and numerous entertainers—such as the Rat Pack, Nat King Cole, and Tony Bennett. They even have a lovely nostalgic meetings and events room of photographs and memorabilia tastefully giving homage to the hotel’s splendor as well as detailing the hotel’s history of guests and entertainers.

I highly recommend The Chase Park Plaza—for couples, business travelers, singles and events. From the time that I pulled up at the hotel’s entrance, until the time I pulled out of the parking garage to depart the hotel, I was impressed by the amenities, customer service and great recommendations from staff, and the overall human kindness shared by various team members of The Chase Park Plaza.
