The Charmcity Skatepark announces its 2014 Summer Camp dates

A few years ago the Charmcity Skatepark re-tooled their Skate Camp program into a travel camp. A camp where the campers spend two days at the Charmcity Skatepark and the rest of their camp time traveling to other parks. They filmed a lot of the action, putting the Charmcity team and a few of the campers in the video recap which covers all five weeks of the camp.

The 2013 campers were lucky enough to go to a wide variety of skateparks which gave the kids a taste of the very diverse group of parks this area has to offer. Parks like the Lansdowne Bowl a giant concrete park that was built in the late 70's and on the opposite end of the spectrum the brand new Dunkirk Skatepark which is a hybrid metal/asphalt skatepark. Additional parks visited by the camp were the Wakefield Skatepark (boasting a brand new concrete area), Sawmill Skatepark, College Park, Laurel Skatepark, Cosca Skatepark, Lake Fairfax, The D.C. Maloof Money Cup Course, Brooklynn Park Skatepark and of course the Charmcity Skatepark! The crew also made a special trip up North to visit Philly's brand new Panes Park and FDR!

Since 2012 The Charmcity Skate camp has allowed BMX and Scooters in addition to Skateboarding. "All three disciplines mesh well and there aren't any issues." said Tony Bachman the Charmcity Skateshop manager.

The Charmcity Skatepark has just released their 2014 schedule and pricing for all the parents eager to get their kids enrolled before the coveted spots are all filled up.
