Wednesday, NBC confirmed the cast of The Celebrity Apprentice 2012, which premieres on February 12, 2012. The show is said to be full of crazy and drama again this season. While it is hard to imagine things getting crazier than last year with the Star Jones/NeNe Leakes drama, some say that viewers will indeed see a wilder show. Now that the celebrities involved are able to start talking about their participation, there is one other theme that is quickly rising to the top: Clay Aiken is the guy to keep an eye on this season. Hollyscoop talked to several cast members Wednesday, and it seems everybody is raving about Aiken.
Hollyscoop talked to The Celebrity Apprentice Season 5 cast members Adam Carolla, Aubrey O'Day and Penn Teller. Adam admits he focused on being something of a class clown during taping, and it was "probably not the greatest strategy." He thinks that it may have led to his not being taken seriously in the boardroom, though fellow contestant Penn Teller defended him. Teller said, "Everyone is very aware of playing games. One game is Celebrity Apprentice, the other is entertaining people." Penn adds, "With Adam, it's very clear what game he's playing."
The site says that when all three celebrities were asked which castmate surprised them the most, Clay Aiken's name was mentioned every time. American Chopper star Paul Teutul, Sr. also surprised people, as O'Day shared, "he's the nicest, most loveable teddy bear there is. He was a very enjoyable person to be around." As for Aiken, Penn Teller called him "very motivated, very competitive" as well as "very hard working."
RadarOnline shares that Donald Trump, the man behind the show, says this season's cast is full of "very, very competitive people, and really smart people." It sounds as if quite a few of the contestants may just surprise viewers, and certainly the charities they are playing for will be the ultimate winners. Could Clay Aiken win the whole season? Some think so, but viewers will have to tune in to find out. The Celebrity Apprentice 2012 premieres Sunday, February 19.
