Hook led the band of rescuers now down to Emma, Mary Margaret, David and himself, to a secret cave on Neverland, the place he believed Neal to be kept. In episode 6, entitled “Ariel,” the rescuers would have to share their darkest secrets in order to free Neal and move on with their mission. The episode aired on “Once Upon A Time” on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m.
Hook revealed to Mary Margaret, David and Regina that Pan had visited him and told him Neal was not only alive but on Neverland. They debated telling Emma and all but Mary Margaret thought it best not to tell her and get her hopes up until they knew for certain if it was another one of Pan’s deceptions.
Regina didn’t want to waste time looking for Neal. She believed it was a trick. Tired of the delays, she left the group to search for Henry on her own. Mary Margaret couldn’t keep the news from Emma and told her. Emma, too, was skeptical.
Hook informed the group he believed Neal was being held in a secret cave. In order to free him, they would each have to reveal their darkest secret. Hook explained that in so doing, Pan hoped they would turn on one another.
Inside the cave, Neal was being held in a cage on a stalagmite more than 100 feet from the entrance. It was here they would have to reveal their secrets. Hook went first announcing that he had kissed Emma. Since she had already told Mary Margaret, this wasn’t technically a secret. He went on to say that in that moment he realized he was finally able to let go of his love for Mila because he now felt that for Emma. Magically a portion of a stone bridge materialized from Neal’s perch.
Mary Margaret said she felt robbed by not being able to raise Emma and that when they got home, she wanted to have another baby, one she could raise. More bridge appeared. David said he would like nothing better but had to come clean about the Dreamshade poison and the cure he took which means he must stay on Neverland or die. The last portion of the bridge appeared and Emma crossed it to reach Neal.
She tried bashing at the cage with her sword but she, too, would have to share a secret. Hers was that while she was happy to hear Neal might be alive, seep down she prayed he was really dead because she knew how much she really loved him and she couldn’t bear to lose him all over again. The cage opened and Neal stepped out.
Once outside the cave, the group set out to find Tinkerbell and Henry and get off the island. With the others gone ahead, Emma apologized to Neal for what she had said. He didn’t blame her and told her he would never stop fighting for her. Hook, standing in the shadows overheard their conversation and was crushed.
Will Hook continue helping the group now that he knows Emma still has feelings for Neal? Tune in on Sundays at 7 p.m. to find out and check back often for updates, news and spoilers.
