Perhaps the most anticipated sequel in the history of the galaxy, today we finally learn some details about the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII" film. Today, Lucasfilm revealed a photo and some details on the main cast of the film, confirming that some of the original, beloved cast members from the first trilogy of films (Episodes IV, V and VI) will indeed star in the J.J. Abrams-helmed film.

Yes, Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) and Kenny Baker (R2-D2) are all back as can now be officially confirmed, despite the news being fairly common knowledge for several months. Sadly, one big name is missing from this list: Billy Dee Williams. The actor who portrayed Lando Calrissian is missing from the released photo and press release. Does that mean that Lando won't be a part of the new film? Remember, he didn't appear until Episode V the first time around, so perhaps they have plans for him later in the series.

The announced new cast consist of Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow. Of course, who they play and how they fit into the storyline will remain a mystery for quite a while longer.

Filming on Episode VII is set to begin in just a few more weeks and the film is still planning on a December 18, 2015 release date. The film's screenplay was written by The Empire Strikes Back scribe Lawrence Kasdan (as well as director J.J. Abrams) and will once again feature a score by the legendary John Williams.

So what do you think about the Lando snub? About the new actors and actresses? Post your thoughts below!
