The Casbah Series started on May 5 with an ethereal forest soiree at Casa La Femme. The event hosted by Urban Daddy, featured music by Questlove and DJ Vikas, henna tattoo artists, belly dancers, natural flower crowns, and Qui Tequila spring cocktails.

Fairy-like women walked around the venue in loose spring dresses, while offering guests the refreshing cocktails. Quitini was one of the drinks of the night. It had Qui Platinum Extra Anejo Tequila, pink grapefruit juice, agave syrup, lemon and lime juice, orange liqueur, and it was topped with champagne. The second drink was Quibiscus. It had Qui Platinum Extra Anejo Tequila, Triple Sec, Casa hibiscus Syrup, lemon and lime juice, and orange twist.

The guests enjoyed a hint of spring weather with warm temperatures, and real grass on the floors of the location. Guests were seen mingling and relaxing in the North-Saharan/secret garden ambiance. With luxurious rugs and pillows, people were lying on the grass, and taking advantage of the mirage-looking night.

Later on guests were escorted into the main room of the restaurant, which had swings, tent looking tables, and an ice sculpture. People seemed to love the relaxed after-work environment, and guests were seen dancing to Love Never Felt So Good by Michael Jackson.

Hors d’ouvres were served by the same nymph looking ladies, while the belly dancer spiced up the moves, and succeeded in engaging the crowd to step up their game. Even though it was Cinco de Mayo and people replaced the usual sombreros for flower crowns, the Qui Tequila was still everyone’s favorite.
