Two catchy pop bands co-headlining a tour together can never be a bad thing, right? The Cab and The Summer Set have hit the road to find that out. Fans of both bands will tell you that their social network accounts are full of playful sparring on a regular basis, so it is only expected that their tour will be equally as entertaining. Let's not forget the aforementioned catchy pop tunes that are also guaranteed.

The “Everything’s Fine Symphony Soldier” tour kicked off in The Summer Set’s home state of Arizona on January 14 and has already made its way across the southern portion of the country, reaching Fort Lauderdale, FL on January 19. Supporting bands include He Is We, Days Difference, and Paradise Fears.

After surprisingly parting ways with their record label, Fueled By Ramen, The Cab independently released Symphony Soldier, their long awaited follow up to 2008’s Whisper War, to rave reviews. Current lineup includes Alex DeLeon on vocals, Alex Marshall on guitar and keys, and Joey Thunder on bass. The band worked with producer John Feldmann (Panic! At The Disco, The Used, Good Charlotte) on the new album which also features contributions from Bruno Mars, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Martin Johnson of Boys Like Girls, and more.

The Summer Set is supporting their summer 2011 release Everything’s Fine (Razor & Tie). After much success with some live covers of Taylor Swift hits, the band explored new and different styles for Everything’s Fine, including writing with Paul Doucette of Matchbox 20 and Mike daly of whiskey Town in Nashville. They also enlisted veteran producer John Fields (Paul Westerberg, Andrew WK). You may also remember hearing The Summer Set’s song “Chelsea” on this past season of Dancing with the Stars, when the song’s inspiration actress Chelsea Kane danced a Cha-Cha-Cha to the tune with partner Mark Ballas.

This high-energy tour will wrap up its one month run in Baltimore at The Soundstage on Sunday, February 12. There are tickets still available through TicketFly.
