St. Charles' Avenue of the Saints Amphitheater (3357 St. Charles Road) will play host to the First Annual Bushwak Festival on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15. The fledgling festival is patterned after Briar Patch and Electric Forest and will feature two stages of music, camping, bonfires, and a light show. Admission to the festival is just $10 in advance and $15 when the gates open at 1 p.m. on the 14th. Tickets may be purchased online through Tikly. Bushwak is open to anyone 18 or older.
The musical lineup for the 2014 Bushwak Festival includes performances by Item 9 & The Mad Hatters, Christopher the Conquered, Scratch Dub, DJ Bump Ellis, Rumble Seat Riot, Dead Larry, Cozzy, Cirrus Minor, Kill OG, Keeplove, DJ Blac (of Bassthoven), Lucid Beats, Phantom Flex, Trouble Lights (featured video), The Nemo Orchestra, Hurricane Mike, Dustin Oxford, Lazarus, Dustin Oxford, and Johnny Rage. There acres and acres for camping, and there will be food and beverage vendors available both days. The music will start at 2 p.m. Saturday and run through the night until Sunday at 4 p.m. There will be a short intermission from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday morning.
