The Brown Rice Family returns to Red Rooster

Harlem will be the host again to world roots band Brown Rice Family. The band will be preforming at Red Rooster March 19 for an evening musical jams.Brown Rice Family is comprised of band members Okai hailing from Haiti, Yuichi, Tama and Caz of Japan, Sticky Rice from Jamaica, Soils representing South Africa, Isaiah from the Bronx, and Amu hailing from Nigeria.

The Brown Rice Family firmly pushes toward self-improvement and environmental improvement and healthier ways of life seen in their music and other projects. “Brown Rice Family Soap” is made of natural ingredients sourced from organic farmers and suppliers. The band was also the winner of the “WNYC Ultimate Battle of the Boroughs" and stands for global solidarity and organic happiness.
