Eyebrows can be the defining factor in your beauty statement; and throughout the years brows have been arched and not arched, full and not full, drawn on and au natural. The year 2014 has bought about freedom and pure individualism at its best. A great or perfect brow on a woman will make a great difference to the look of her face. As an educator and program director of esthetic programs; I have had my brows have been butchered (and I’m not exaggerating & those former students know who they are), but my sacrifice was for a greater good. I wanted to make sure that my students knew what they were doing as a professional, on any BROW! My sacrifice was for my country or at the very least South Carolina.
Knowing how to create the perfect brow for yourself comes with great responsibility. Threading, waxing, and tweezing (not plucking ladies, we only pluck chickens); you must know which brow will work for your face. Here are the steps to create a great eyebrow:
Step 1. Measure the position of where your brow should begin and end; which is the inner corner to outer corner of your eye
Step 2. Wax, thread or tweeze- if over waxing, threading, or tweezing as occurred fill in with a brow powder; you have more control than with a pencil and it doesn’t make the brow too harsh. You can use a stencil along with the powder; starting at the base of the hairs – inner- arch(middle)- to outer eye.
Step 3. Highlight and define the look of your eyebrows by adding concealer directly under the brow. If you want your brows fuller add more powder and apply a soft parallel line directly above the brow, add brow gel if you like and perfection!
I am very particular about who does my brows; Myself, Kristin (at European Wax Center), Jennifer (a wonderful threader at View Salon) and Annie at Luxe Salon. Here’s a list of some of the great celebrity brows (also see slide show).
