The British Beer Company brings England back to New England

Located just 20 minutes outside of Boston on Route 9 in Framingham is an unmistakable pub. The exterior walls make the building look as if it belongs in a remote English village and the interior is even more breathtaking.

The fireplaces make guest feel at home as they sit in a large rectangular bar, handmade by a famous British carpenter.  The British Beer Company really is a pub that should not be missed.

The menu offers a mix of American and British food, and don't worry there is no Spotted Dick on the menu. There is a dish to satisfy everyones taste buds. From  Sweet Chili Grilled Salmon to the Maui Wowwie pizza theres something for even the pickiest of eaters to enjoy. Unfortunately, the dinning area is very small (as the bar takes up most of the room) so there is almost always a wait to be seated. The wait time can be as little as 5 minutes and as long as 2 hours. To diminish the wait time, it would be a wise choice to come either before the dinner rush (around 5 p.m.) or after the rush (around 7-7:30 p.m.). However,  the British Beer Company is not know for its food; it is the beer that keeps guest coming back and thirsty for more.

The beer menu might make some beer lovers weep with happiness as it offers well over a hundred different types of beers. If a guest wants to stay safe and order what they know, there is a section in the menu titled The Usual Suspects that features Budweiser, Coors, PBR and Miller. There is also a section that features domestic Craft brews and there you will find some of New England's favorites such as Sam Adams beers, Wachusetts Blueberry, Magic Hat and many more. If a guest is more daring and wants to try something new, then there are numerous beers to choose from featuring, Monty Pythons Holy Ale, Hobgoblin, Arrogant Bastard, Old Speckled Hen, Young's Double Chocolate Stout and many, many more. The beers are all reasonably priced and the menu gets updated weekly to showcase new beers.

There is also weekly live entertainment and specials. This Thursday (Aug. 6) is "Ladies Night" featuring DJ Big Daddy Ray and there will be drink specials and giveaways all night long.  If dancing and live music doesn't sound ideal than come and have a relaxing evening as you watch some of Europe's best soccer (football) clubs play.  So come on down to the British Beer Company on Rt.9 East in Framingham.
