By popular demand, The Powerhouse Series is thrilled to bring The Brad Faucher Band back to The Liberty Hotel in Boston on Friday, February 24th. Faucher has assembled a band that is simply a force of nature with a blues power attitude with soul-jazz, funk and R&B. Faucher will co-host the ongoing music series Friday along with series founder Susan Maguire.
Faucher has become a first-call guitarist around town. Brad is currently performing with a variety of bands including his own. Faucher also performs with the Gumbo Kings, Philip Pemberton Band, The Spoilers, Diane Blue, Deleware Floyd and Blue Gil.
He is also working on the soul-jazz project “This Is Soul” with local R&B artists Lee Lundy and Lewis West. At Joco’s in Waltham, MA, Brad holds court every Thursday evening with his band “Session450”, where at the drop of a hat; the night can go blues, jazz, soul, funk and rock.
For Faucher, his love of music all started with Hendrix and Clapton. He listened and read everything he could get his hand on from these guitar icons. From there, he started tracing back to the masters that inspired his heroes. CD’s from BB King, Albert King, SRV, and Albert Collins soon invaded his dorm room at Merrimack College.
Through the early 1990’s, Brad honed his craft by playing with a variety of blues and rock outfits throughout the Merrimack Valley. He went on to work as musical director for Sweet Willie “D” (1996-2001) and Nicole Nelson (2001-2004). During those times, he co-produced and played on four albums, performed at Boston’s Symphony Hall and Tanglewood and toured Europe, all the time learning from some of the world’s finest musicians.
Faucher is backed by a powerful group of musicians which include Tim “Foxx” Gibson on Bass; Nick Toscano on Drums/Percussion/Backing Vocals; Hakim Law on Keys/Vocals; as well as a few special guests.
Be sure to see Faucher and his band as part of the Powerhouse Series at The Liberty Hotel Lobby Bar, 215 Charles Street, Boston on Friday, February 24th at 8:30 PM.
