The born-again experience: your key to eternal life

While we would love to believe in reincarnation, enlightened spirits, and other fables, there is only one absolute truth, and that truth can be found in the Word of God.  While all beings: human, animal or angelic, were created by God; people need to know what happens to humans when they die.  Recent and untimely deaths of popular actors and entertainers, such as David Carradine, Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Steve McNair may make some of us wonder whether the rich and famous or the poor and relatively unknown make it into heaven or hell after drawing their last breath.  In order to understand the mystery of life after death, one must first accept the infallible truth of the Bible.

Man is a Threefold Being
The human body consists of three main elements:  (1) a “casing” of flesh, (2) the unseen and eternal spirit, and (3) the soul where emotions and feelings reside.  Upon the death of the human body, marked by a cessation of brain activity and the absence of the capacity to breathe, the spirit and soul separate from the body.  The physical body, bound to the earth by gravity, is either buried or cremated.  If the deceased was a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, he or she will one day receive a glorified body and be resurrected to eternal life.  In the Last Judgment, the souls of those who have never received Christ as Lord and Savior are also resurrected; however they will be judged and expeditiously sentenced to eternal damnation in hell.  Yes, hell is a very real place reserved for the devil and his angels and all those who adamantly persist in denying the existence of Almighty God.

What is Salvation?
Contrary to popular belief, salvation is not earned by successive reincarnations and feeble attempts at obtaining spiritual perfection through good works.  Neither is it obtained by becoming a member of the local church or religious denomination.  Well-meaning church members, pastors, lay leaders, and evangelists may have served a lifetime in the local assembly; but unless they have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior they are just as likely as sinners to wind up in hell.

Nicodemus, a well-educated Pharisee and leader of the Jews came to Jesus by night and under the cloak of darkness because something compelled him to seek the truth.  He had witnessed the miracles that Jesus performed; and yet, Jesus knew that Nicodemus was seeking salvation.  “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Nicodemus saith unto Him, How can a man be born when he is old” can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God” – John 3:3-5.  The water that Jesus was referring to is the water of the womb, the natural birth; however, in order to be born again, one must be born again by the Holy Spirit overshadowing and then occupying his or her mortal spirit.

Satan would love to hide this simple method of salvation from those who do not know God.  Satan is not only a liar, but the Father of lies.  He would love to turn the atheist’s heart away and convince the spiritualist that Heaven can be obtained through progressive acts of death and reincarnation.  God does not need to recycle souls; and the fact that we can breathe is evidence enough that He exists.  You can know the truth and the truth shall make you free.  Receive Jesus Christ today and receive the blessed assurance that you have a right to eternal life.

I've actually written an entire book on this topic--"Hell? No! Why You Can Be Certain There's No Such Place As Hell," (for anyone interested, you can get a free Ecopy of my book at my website: www.ricklannoye.com), but if I may, allow me to share one of the many points I make in it.

If there's a Hell, then there cannot be a Heaven, not if Heaven is where you have no more fears! Why? Because they could never be sure the alleged promises from a deity to be so good to the few of them, if only they will believe, who also promises to torture billions of others, won't one day do the same to them!

Here's why: any deity who could take a blow torture to anyone, for any length of time, much less to billions of people for an eternity, is not the kind of deity who is likely to be a stand up guy on his promises! Afterall, which is harder? To lie about there being a Heaven, or inflicting the worst sort of pain on people who were mostly just trying to live their lives as best they could.

The Word of God tells us that both Heaven and Hell exist.

Rick tells us that we "can be certain there's no such place as Hell."

I'll trust in the Word of God.
