Fans looking forward to the Borderlands 2 $100,000 Loot Hunt will have to wait one more day as the event, which was originally scheduled to begin on Friday, has been postponed until Saturday morning. Gearbox Software announced on Oct 11 that the delay has been caused by unforeseen technical difficulties.
The Borderlands 2 Loot Hunt gives fans the chance to earn real world prizes while earning in-game loot within the co-op shooter. Each week of the hunt will be hosted by a different Borderlands 2 character who will challenge players with different daily kill challenges that will count as prize entries once completed. Gamers will have the opportunity to win a PS Vita, Nvidia Shield, and a lifetime supply of all 2K games on Steam. Additionally, players will experience increased chances to obtain rare in-game equipment regardless of their chances at real swag.
Borderlands 2 and the game’s recently released Game of the Year Edition, are now available on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC/Mac.
