‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ spoilers: Bob Barker recreates iconic fight scene

Now this is a quirky cameo. On next Thursday’s episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” a CBS daytime legend will make a cameo. But it’s not a soap star. Instead, “The Price is Right” host Bob Barker will turn up to give bad boy Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) a piece of his mind – or at least of his fist.

On Thursday, TV Guide posted exclusive video of Barker’s cameo, which has the 90-year-old game show icon and animal rights activist taking a swing in support of a cause that’s dear to his heart.

When Spencer talks smack about “stupid animal lovers,” Barker steps in to set him straight. After a mini spiel about having pets spayed and neutered, Barker loses his cool when the troublemaker calls him a “wacko,”

If Barker’s fight scene looks familiar, you may remember his cameo for a similar scene in the 1996 Adam Sandler flick, “Happy Gilmore.”

Barker said while he doesn’t consider himself a soap star, he’s grateful for the daytime TV work. (He retired from “The Price is Right” in 2007 after more than 40 years.)

“I'm grateful for whatever comes my way, especially when I can get out my message about the importance of spaying and neutering animals,” he said. “CBS and [B&B exec producer] Brad Bell have been incredible about using the soap to increase awareness. And if I get a chance to punch out a guy who thinks animal lovers are stupid wackos, even better!

The nonagenarian also revealed that he checked with his younger co-star to make sure the script didn’t call for him to hit him back, and joked that he wins all of his fights because “they’re fixed!”

Of course, this isn’t Bob Barker’s first appearance on the long running CBS soap opera. He last turned up on the show in May, according to Soap Opera Network, playing a version of himself who met up with Liam (Scott Clifton) to discuss animal-related causes.

Barker’s other acting credits include appearances on “Yes, Dear,” “Martial Law,” and “The Nanny." Because, let’s face it, an animal activist’s work is never done.

You can tune in to see Bob Barker’s cameo on the Thursday, Aug. 28 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful” on CBS.
