Too often we minimize the soul and talk about it's presence in our body. The Celts recognized that the soul was much more than our earthly body could hold. Our soul is part of the whole of creation. God knew our soul before our birth, and knows it eternally.
Our senses, which are a part of our body-within our soul-are the means by which God is in constant communications with us, and if we do not sense Him, it is that we have allowed the noise of our world to numb us into separation from the presence and communications of God. The Celtic way of prayer provides a framework for focusing our senses on being in dialogue with God, and open to His offer to be our Anam Cara (Friend of our soul).
