Bob Pace fans rejoice! The Des Moines guitar legend has three shows in Des Moines in the next 4 days. Even better news: there is no cover charge for any of the shows.
Bob Pace is an Iowa rock and blues legend. He was inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008, and he is a past winner of the Iowa Blues Challenge. His sets cover everything from rock to blues, metal to country, and folk to swing. Pace's amazing riffs are only topped by his ability to do guitar tricks while playing them. He is an amazing showman and an Iowa treasure, so make sure to catch one of these shows.
The Bob Pace Band performs nearly every Wednesday of the year at Zimm's Food and Spirits (3124 Ingersoll Avenue). You can catch the band there this Wednesday starting at 8 pm.
Friday, February 24, the Bob Pace Band will be at Bourbon Street Bar & Grill (500 Army Post Road). Pace will take the stage at 9 pm.
On Saturday, February 25, Bob Pace returns to the Gas Lamp (1501 Grand Avenue). Pace was a regular on that stage for 20 years in the building's previous incarnation as Blues on Grand. He recorded his most recent album there (entitled Bob Pace Live at Blues on Grand) before the business closed and reopened as Gas Lamp. Pace is scheduled to take the stage at 9 pm.
