The Blue Card, a national non-profit group, with a mission to provide financial assistance to needy Holocaust Survivors living in the United States hosted their annual benefit at Chelsea Piers on Thursday, May 1st.

Supporting over 2,000 individuals, The Blue Card hosted 'Pong on the Terrace' on the Sunset Terrace raising $18,000 with over 200 guests in attendance.

A silent auction, open bar and competitive ping pong tournament, The Blue Card Inc., was established in 1934 and continues to help finance many diverse programs along with medical, dental, emergency cash assistance, a stipend program, a Jewish Holiday Program (provides $200 for the High Holidays, $200 for Hanukkah and $200 for Passover so that the holiday season will be a happy one, The Emergency Response Program, Mazel Tov Birthday Program, Vitamin Program, Bring-a-Smile Program as well as other services to those requiring aid. The Blue Card has distributed over $24 million to date with one hundred percent of the donations going directly to the survivors.

The Blue Card, Inc. offers additional ways of supporting the organization with volunteering at The Blue Card office, visit a Holocaust survivor at home or in the hospital, Support the B'nai Mitzvah Simcha project or delivering holiday food packages. There are also marathons in NYC, Atlanta, Miami and Bike New York.
