"The Blind Side" star is turning embarrassment into weight loss

Many people want to lose weight only to keep putting it off, but a humiliating experience for an actor from the movie "The Blind Side" helped kick his weight loss plan into gear.

Quinton Aaron's size was definitely an asset in landing the amazing role as Michael Oher in the movie, but his current weight of 550 pounds on his 6'8" frame made for an embarrassing moment.

According to ABC News, Aaron normally flies first class, but during his flight on US Airways he needed two economy seats because first class was filled.

He ended up being booted from the flight because he took up too much room.

Aaron has turned this terrible experience into something positive.

"I live in California. I want to go to the beach in the summertime with a tank top on and have girls chasing me down the beach one day," he said.

Aaron is not alone in the struggle to lose weight as the obesity rate is a nationwide epidemic. He even started an anti-bullying foundation after filming the movie.

"There's a lot of kids that get picked on because of their outer appearance and not everyone has had the luxury of growing up knowing the right foods to eat or knowing what a healthier lifestyle is," he said.
